The Gin Botanist selection 4 pack includes botanicals specially selected to enhance your gin. Whether you’re having a classic ‘London’ gin and tonic or one of many brands and flavours available, this selection gives you the option for multiple tasting enhancements.

To enhance your classic gin and tonic, the best option is to incorporate two or three Juniper Berries, while for a more peppery floral gin and tonic add a few Pink Peppercorns. If you’re looking for stronger floral flavours, you will need to add a “special touch” with Hibiscus and Lavender. The possibilities to enhance your gin are deliciously endless! Set includes 4 botanicals.

Juniper Berries
Juniper is a coniferous, evergreen tree native to Europe, the Himalayas, southwestern Asia and North America. It can reach a height of up to 10-15 metres. The simple, spiny, needle like leaves grow in whorls of 3 around the slender twigs and are dark to glaucous green in colour and 1-2cm in length. The male and female flowers grow on different trees, and once pollinated give rise to green, spherical, berry like seed cones which take 18 months to ripen. Once ripe they change colour to purpley-black with a blue waxy coating and are 4–12mm in diameter. (18g).

Pink Peppercorns
Description: Brazilian pepper is a dioecious (having male and female flowers) shrub or small tree, native to Brazil, Paraguay, and Argentina, which is now naturalised in other tropical areas including the southern United States and Africa, it grows to a height of 7-12 metres. The leaves are alternate, pinnately compound with 3-5 leaflets, ovately lanceolate-elliptical in shape, 10-22cm in length, leathery and mid-green in colour with yellowish veins. The 5-petaled flowers are small, white in colour with yellow stamens and grow in tightly clustered panicles. Flowers fade and ripen to berries which are spherical, 4-5mm in diameter and green ripening to pinky-red. (15g).

The leaves are simple, entire, oblong-lanceolate and 2-6cm in length, glaucous green in colour and grow in whorls at intervals on the square stems. The hermaphrodite inflorescences are composed of many 2-lipped flowers which form terminal spikes 2-8cm in length on top of stems; the flowers are bluish-violet to pale lilac in colour. (5g).
