Cinnamon aromaticum also known as Chinese cassia comes from an evergreen shrubby tree native to Southern Asia which grows to a height of 10-15 metres. The tree has greyish-red bark, and the leaves are pinnately compound resembling those of the laurel tree oval to oblong, dark green and glossy in colour and approximately 12-22cm in length. The flowers are comprised of panicles of 6-petaled white florets with yellow stamens. (18g).
